Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, account type, and authentication details. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not visible to TrainerMap.

Trainer profile information

Trainers may provide profile details such as a biography, specialties, experience, service area, pricing, contact details, profile image, and other information used to describe their professional services.

Credentials uploaded for verification

Trainers may submit credential details and supporting files for review. These can include certification names, issuing organizations, dates, identifiers, and documentary evidence.

Inquiries, feedback, and screenshots

We collect messages clients send through trainer inquiry forms, along with the sender information provided with the inquiry. We also collect feedback submissions and any screenshots voluntarily uploaded with them.

Authentication, session, and technical information

We collect information needed to keep you signed in and protect the service, including session identifiers, cookies, IP address, browser or device information, request logs, and timestamps.

How we use information

We use information to operate TrainerMap, create and secure accounts, display and rank relevant trainer profiles, review profiles and credentials, deliver client inquiries, respond to support requests, evaluate feedback, diagnose bugs, prevent misuse, and improve the quality and reliability of the service.

Public and private information

Approved trainer profile information is public and may be viewed without an account. Trainers should only add information they are comfortable publishing. Account credentials, session information, uploaded credential evidence, feedback screenshots, and administrative review notes are not public. Inquiry messages are shared with the intended trainer and service administrators as needed to operate and support the inquiry process.

Credential review

Authorized TrainerMap administrators review submitted credential information and supporting evidence to decide whether a credential can be marked as verified. Evidence is used for review and is not displayed on the public trainer profile. Verification reflects our review of the material submitted; it is not an endorsement or a guarantee that a credential remains current.

Email notifications

We may send transactional emails needed to operate your account, such as authentication messages, account updates, credential or profile review notices, inquiry delivery, and replies to support requests. TrainerMap does not use these messages to promise promotional email programs.

Cookies and authentication

TrainerMap uses cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary for authentication, session continuity, security, and basic product functionality. Blocking these technologies may prevent sign-in or other account features from working correctly.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate TrainerMap. They process information on our behalf for the purposes described in this policy:

• Supabase provides database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure.
• Vercel hosts and delivers the application.
• Cloudflare supports network delivery, performance, and security.
• Resend delivers transactional email.

These providers may process technical and account information according to their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain account and verification records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect TrainerMap and its users. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it was collected. Private-alpha feedback and related screenshots may be retained while we investigate and improve the service, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.

Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account by emailing contacttrainermap@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity. Deletion removes or de-identifies account information from active systems, subject to limited retention for security, legal, backup, and recordkeeping needs. Public trainer profiles are removed from publication as part of account deletion.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Children’s privacy

TrainerMap is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as TrainerMap changes or as legal requirements evolve. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email.
