Terms for using TrainerMap

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using TrainerMap, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to create an account or submit information through TrainerMap. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Account responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in information confidential and for activity under your account. Provide current contact information, use one account only for its intended role, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Trainer responsibilities

Trainers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their profiles, maintaining any licenses, certifications, insurance, or permissions applicable to their work, delivering services professionally, and complying with applicable laws. Trainers must promptly update information that becomes inaccurate or out of date.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for evaluating whether a trainer is appropriate for their needs, communicating honestly and respectfully, and consulting a qualified medical professional before beginning activity when appropriate. Clients must not misuse trainer contact details or inquiry tools.

Accurate information

Information you submit must be truthful, current, and not misleading. You must have the right to submit and publish it. Impersonation, fabricated qualifications, and materially incomplete or deceptive statements are prohibited.

Credential verification

TrainerMap may review credential information and supporting evidence before displaying a verification status. Verification means only that submitted material met our review process at the time reviewed. It is not an endorsement, a background check, or a guarantee of a trainer’s identity, competence, conduct, insurance, or continued standing. We may request more information, decline verification, or remove a verification status.

Publication and moderation

Trainer profiles are not automatically entitled to publication. TrainerMap may review, edit for formatting, decline, unpublish, or remove content to protect users, maintain quality, enforce these terms, or operate the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated, information is unsafe or misleading, or continued access may harm TrainerMap or others.

Intellectual property

TrainerMap and its design, software, branding, and original content are owned by TrainerMap or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant TrainerMap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content as needed to operate and promote the functionality of the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except where retention is reasonably necessary or content has been lawfully shared outside the service.

Acceptable use

Use TrainerMap only for lawful trainer discovery, professional profile management, genuine inquiries, and constructive product feedback. Respect other people, their information, and the integrity of the service.

Prohibited conduct

You may not:

• submit false, fraudulent, infringing, abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful content;
• harass users, send spam, scrape profiles, or collect information for unrelated solicitation;
• attempt to bypass access controls, probe security, introduce malicious code, or disrupt the service;
• use automated means to access TrainerMap without written permission;
• copy, resell, reverse engineer, or exploit the service except where the law expressly permits it; or
• use TrainerMap in a way that violates another person’s rights or applicable law.

No guarantees

TrainerMap is a discovery service, not a fitness, medical, employment, or credentialing authority. We do not employ trainers or control services arranged outside TrainerMap. We do not guarantee trainer availability, suitability, conduct, qualifications, the accuracy of every profile, or any health, fitness, financial, or other result. You are responsible for your own decisions and interactions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrainerMap and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from user content, trainer-client interactions, fitness activity, unauthorized access, or interruption of the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid TrainerMap in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Service availability

TrainerMap is provided “as is” and “as available” during private alpha. Errors, interruptions, and changes may occur. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Changes to the service or terms

We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue parts of TrainerMap as we learn from private testing. We may also update these terms. Revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date, and material changes may receive additional notice. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply in the jurisdiction where TrainerMap’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. A more specific governing-law provision may be added as the service develops.
